We bough two for our 8 and 5 year old daughters. The scooters are well built and the girls have lots of fun on them. You might want to be sure the children wear long pants and maybe helmets knee and elbow guards until they get used to riding. We got a few scrapes and bumps in the first few days because we didn't.
